Our first system grew out of the ground.

FarmIQ is an engineering company from Podgorica: software, machine learning and AI. We learned the craft building our own growing systems — a rack that waters itself, the dashboard that runs it, and a container farm.

Where we started

FarmIQ began as an idea a small informal team gathered around — the founder, a childhood friend (today an ML engineer) and one more developer. We applied under the name FarmIQ to BoostMeUp 5, the ICT Tehnopolis incubator, and started from there. Farming gave us our first problems worth solving — and with them the craft we now offer to everyone.

First, we planted an olive grove.

Imanje Korijen: 150 olive trees on Montenegrin karst. Our own ground, where we test everything we build for farming before we recommend it to anyone else.

Then we built a rack that waters itself.

The iQube demo rack: a metal shelf with two grow trays under LED bars, a 50-litre drum with hoses and a screen showing the iQube logo

It runs on ebb and flow: a pump floods the trays from a 50-litre reservoir, and overflow pipes return the water. Our software on Home Assistant runs the lights, the pump and the climate.

13 days from seed to harvest for pea microgreens. Water only.

And software we wrote ourselves runs the rack.

A control dashboard on the wall next to the rack. Every schedule is one switch, and every pump action goes through a safety layer.

Next: the same system in a container.

A 40 ft high-cube with two racks along the walls. Designed in CAD from a single source of measurements — no dimension typed in by hand. The demo rack runs today; the container is at the design stage.

AgTech

The domain we know from the inside: digital infrastructure for the food chain, from farm to buyer. The full development path — from the original idea to the container — is on the AgTech page.

Proof from practice

For a digital print house in Podgorica we analysed 30,552 work orders and measured how much revenue leaves with clients who never come back — then built the system that brings them back.

  • €85,000estimated annual leak
  • 58%churn rate

How we work

  1. Diagnostic

We understand the problem and the data before writing a line of code. A conversation, a look at existing systems, a clear picture before the estimate.

  2. Specification

Clear scope, clear price, no surprises mid-way. Agreed on paper before work begins.

  3. Iterative delivery

Working versions early and often, not one big bang at the end. You see progress every week, not at the project's end.

  4. Maintenance

The system stays alive and documented after handover. Stability is the goal, not an accident — we monitor, update, respond.
